Join us for a one-of-a-kind therapeutic roleplaying experience led by Therapeutic Game Master Joan Krejci, owner of Hitpoint Healing. Through collaborative storytelling, fantasy adventures, creativity, and guided reflection, participants will explore connection, communication, empowerment, and self-expression in a safe and inclusive environment.

This Pride-themed event centers around “The Lover’s Festival,” a magical forest celebration honoring all forms of love, identity, and belonging. Each session offers a unique roleplaying experience designed for varying comfort and experience levels — from beginner-friendly games to deeper therapeutic adventures for experienced players.

No prior experience is required for beginner sessions. Dice, character sheets, and materials will be provided.

Session 1 — Trials & Triumphs One Shot: “Party Foul”
10:00am–11:30am

Perfect for beginners and curious first-time players. Using the simplified fantasy roleplaying system Trials & Triumphs, participants will use premade characters to explore the therapeutic power of storytelling and teamwork in a lighthearted magical adventure.

Story: During the magical Lover’s Festival, a peaceful tea party takes a turn when a farm animal loses her favorite teacup.

1:00pm–2:30pm

A second beginner-friendly session of the same adventure for those unable to attend the morning game or looking for a later start time.

Session 3 — Therapeutic Dungeons & Dragons One Shot
2:45pm–4:45pm

A deeper therapeutic roleplaying experience using Dungeons & Dragons. Participants will engage in collaborative storytelling followed by a guided “de-roling” and reflection session connecting the themes of the game to real-life growth and empowerment.

Story: The Lover’s Festival is underway in a magical forest filled with wondrous creatures, but hidden tensions begin to surface beneath the celebration.

Session 4 — The Fae Lover’s Festival (Advanced Experience)
5:00pm–8:30pm
$75 | Max 5 Players

Designed for experienced players seeking a more emotionally immersive and therapeutically rich experience. Participants will collaboratively create characters, navigate a complex fantasy adventure, and conclude with guided processing and reflection led by the Game Master.

Story: The Lover’s Festival celebrates every form of love and connection, but dark forces hidden within the enchanted forest threaten the harmony of the realm.

Facilitated by Joan Krejci of Hitpoint Healing, who has over 10 years of tabletop gaming experience and 5 years leading therapeutic gaming programs.
